SIR's Commitment to Safety: Meet Our Safety Coordinators, Tiffany York and Reilly Jennings
At SIR, safety isn't just a priority; it's a core value embedded in every task we undertake. Our dedicated safety coordinators, Tiffany York and Reilly Jennings, play pivotal roles in upholding this commitment. They ensure that every member of our team operates in the safest environment possible, adhering to the highest safety standards.
Utilizing ISNetworld® for Comprehensive Safety Training
Tiffany and Reilly utilize the renowned ISNetworld® program to manage and implement our rigorous safety training protocols. ISNetworld® provides comprehensive training modules covering critical safety areas, including Hot Work, Confined Spaces, Respiratory Protection, Disease Control, Fire Safety and Protection, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout Procedures, and Ladder/Height Safety. These modules are essential for our team's access to customer facilities, with some requiring a passing score of 80% or higher to ensure competence and readiness.
Beyond Basic Training: Specialized Certifications and Safety Gear
In addition to ISNetworld® training, Tiffany and Reilly oversee a range of specialized certifications, ensuring our team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. This includes CPR/First Aid Certifications, Welding Certifications, OSHA 30 Certifications, HAZWOPER Training, and Compressor Trainings for GEA and MYCOM systems.
Equally important is the provision and maintenance of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Our team is outfitted with ANSI Certified Hard Hats, Safety Glasses, Welding Shields, Steel Toe Boots, and Hi-Vis/FR Clothing. Weekly "Toolbox Talks" keep everyone informed about current safety issues and protocols. Any safety hazards identified are promptly reported to plant management, and all equipment is kept up to OSHA specifications.
Daily Commitment to Safety and Well-being
Safety at SIR extends beyond compliance and certifications. Tiffany and Reilly emphasize the importance of daily routines that promote overall well-being. This includes staying hydrated in extreme temperatures, taking necessary breaks, and engaging in 5-10 minutes of stretching to prevent injuries. They encourage a proactive approach to safety, where every team member is vigilant not only for their own safety but also for their colleagues.
Tiffany York and Reilly Jennings exemplify SIR's unwavering commitment to safety. Through their diligent efforts and the robust safety programs they manage, they ensure that SIR not only meets but exceeds industry safety standards, creating a safe and productive work environment for all.
