24-Hour Hazardous Materials Technician In-Person Training

Mon-Tue-Wed, January 12-14, 2026 (Ogden, UT)

Course Description:

This course meets OSHA, DOSH, and Cal/OSHA requirements for personnel who respond offensively to stop or control a hazardous chemical release. Upon successful completion, participants are certified as HAZWOPER Technicians.

Training includes both classroom and hands-on instruction, covering key topics such as:

  • Laws and regulations

  • Incident command and notification procedures

  • Hazard recognition, assessment, and communication

  • Respiratory protection

  • Monitoring and instrumentation

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) and chemical protective clothing

  • Decontamination procedures

  • Confined space hazards and assessments

  • Lockout/Tagout

  • Emergency response planning

Participants will leave prepared with the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively respond to hazardous material incidents.

8-Hour Annual Refresher In-Person Training

Course Description:

This course fulfills the annual training requirement under OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulation for employees involved in hazardous waste operations and emergency response. It is designed to reinforce critical safety skills, refresh regulatory knowledge, and ensure ongoing compliance.

Participants may choose to attend on Wednesday or Thursday.
