MEET THE TEAM: JEFF SCHULTZ

Director of Operations, SIR Utah

Driving Growth and Building Relationships in Utah's Industrial Refrigeration Market

Jeff Schultz, the new Director of Operations for Superior Industrial Refrigeration (SIR) in Utah, is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in the refrigeration industry. He brings a unique blend of technical knowledge and a passion for building lasting customer relationships to his new role at SIR, where he will be working with the Service Team, collaborating with the Area Sales Director, and spearheading business development efforts across the region.

A Career Defined by Expertise and Innovation Jeff's career has spanned multiple roles at top wholesale refrigeration distributors, including RSD and PAMECO. Over the past nine years, he has honed his expertise in ammonia refrigeration, developing a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this specialized field. Jeff has also demonstrated an innovative streak outside of refrigeration, having developed and patented shotgun shells for waterfowl shooting—an endeavor that reflects his commitment to quality and precision in all his pursuits.

Excited to Lead and Expand SIR in Utah Joining SIR was an easy decision for Jeff, who is drawn to the company's genuine, people-first culture and the opportunity to grow its footprint in Utah. "I'm excited to establish and expand SIR's operations here," he shares. "The team is not only skilled but also a great network of people who are truly passionate about what they do."

In his role, Jeff is eager to leverage his relationship-building skills to foster trust and collaboration with customers, while also driving business growth. His knack for connecting people and solving complex problems will be essential as he aligns SIR's mission with the needs of Utah's industrial refrigeration market.

Passion for the Outdoors and Competitive Spirit Outside of his professional life, Jeff is an avid fisherman and hunter. As a fly-fishing river guide, he is deeply connected to the outdoors, finding peace and enjoyment in nature's rhythm. At the recent Idaho Milk Producers Association (IMPA) conference in Sun Valley, Jeff’s passion for fishing shone through when he won the "Most Fish" contest, proudly representing SIR at this key industry event.

Jeff also shares his love for shooting sports with his two sons, both competitive in Trap and Skeet Shooting. His family-oriented spirit shines in these moments, whether it's cheering them on in competitions or joining them on the range.

Family, Heritage, and a Love for Music
A dedicated family man, in addition to his two sons, Jeff and his wife have two daughters and two grandsons who bring joy and inspiration into his life. He looks forward to an upcoming trip to Germany and Poland to explore his family’s roots in Prussia, eager to uncover the stories of his ancestors and learn more about his heritage.

While Jeff’s professional life is busy and demanding, he always finds time for his love of music. From the epic compositions of Hans Zimmer to the dynamic sounds of Two Steps from Hell and David Arkenstone, music is a constant companion in his life, providing a soundtrack to his many adventures.

Looking Ahead at SIR In his new role at SIR, Jeff is most excited about meeting customers, understanding their unique challenges, and finding ways to help them succeed. "The potential for growth is enormous," he says. "I look forward to helping realign the Utah market with a company that has such a strong legacy and reputation."

With his genuine, honest approach and his love for building relationships, Jeff Schultz is set to be a driving force for SIR’s growth in Utah, leading with a commitment to excellence and a passion for people.
